Walking out to greet the morning, I found the wild strawberries all glistening with jewels of dew drops – only on the edge or the center line of the leaves.

Where we stayed, there was a small pond full of frogs, lily pads and leaves submerged and yet floating below the surface that fell from a nearby tree. Fallen leaves that never completely landed.

As I was on the shore, shooting the ice that had piled up, the patterns in this section drew my eye.  I love the horizontal lines in the calm water contrasted by the ripple textures left in the last gasp from the ice.  It gives it the feel of a scene that might inspire a peaceful Japanese garden. Vertical versions also available.
